Ray spent 25 years in news media. He was the founding Director of Business News for FOX News, where he helped lead the launch of the FOX Business Network. He was an on-air contributor to CNBC, CBS News, and FOX News. In addition, he was editorial director of Entrepreneur and SmartMoney magazines. Previously, he was the IPO columnist for The Wall Street Journal.

Ray is the author of Beyond Sorry: How to Own Up, Make Good and Move Forward After a Crisis. He is also the author of Write Your Business Plan and hundreds of articles on entrepreneurship and free markets. 

Ray holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of New Jersey. He has also served on the boards of the FinServ Foundation, Invest in Others Charitable Foundation, the School of Arts & Sciences at The College of New Jersey, St. Peter’s Preparatory School, and the Society of American Business Editors and Writers.
