Psychologist Carl Jung had a Latin phrase carved above his door — and later on his tombstone — that said:
“Vocatus atque non Vocatus, Deus aderit.”
The translation is roughly, “Called or not called, God is present.” It was a reminder to us that, even when we feel isolated, we are never alone. Someone has our back. You don’t have to be religious to feel comfort and support in that.
Our CEO, Ray Hennessey, had a sign with that phrase in his home for years, and it made sense to extend that sentiment to our marketing and communications company by calling it Vocatus. We wanted our clients to know that we were always there for them.
It is an honor to know so many of our clients and friends have called on Vocatus. Growth is never easy, so working with a team of people and a community of clients that are always there for you is the greatest comfort of all.
